MISSION STATEMENT

ABATE ( A Brotherhood Against Totalitarian Enactments ) of Virginia, Inc. is a motorcyclists' rights organization dedicated to the continued preservation of freedom of the road for all motorcyclists in the Commonwealth of Virginia. We will endeavor to promote safe riding practices through rider education and public awareness programs; to involve ourselves in the legislative process, therefore giving Virginia motorcyclists a strong advocacy before state and federal legislators; to expand our membership base and promote our organization on a continual basis and to maintain a strong financial base necessary to achieve the goals of our membership.

ABATE of Virginia works with the following organizations:

Virginia Coalition of Motorcyclists (VCOM)

National Coalition of Motorcyclists (NCOM)

Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF)

American Motorcyclist Association (AMA)

You, as an individual and voting citizen, can help in our fight to amend or repeal any motorcyclist legislation within Virginia and on the Federal level. The majority of politicians know nothing about motorcycling. We need to unite with common goals and educate our lawmakers from a position of strength and in a dignified manner.
